•Be the ultrasound customer advocate to the product development team through customer need assessments, competitive feature evaluations, clinical performance targets and competitive price targets analyses.
•Play a leadership role in a multi-disciplinary team (Product Steering Group) for new and sustaining product development.
•Develop the Marketing Requirement Specifications for new/current product offerings by analyzing the clinical, economical, regulatory and social trends that drive product innovation and affect product utility.
•Own the product life cycle roadmap in assigned areas with clear market and business justification to drive the overall business.
•Support the Sales and Marketing team to provide guidance and recommendation to develop the Go-to-Market plans.
•Develop, articulate and validate crisp and compelling Clinical, Operational and Financial Value Propositions to attract market attention that motivate potential ultrasound customers to select products
•Coordinate and support the internal and external clinical evaluations of new product offerings and system upgrades. Communicate clinical results to the cross-functional design team.
•Support the Sales/Customer Training teams by providing Train-the-Trainer materials and Knowledge Transfer.
•Perform/participate in market research activities such as focus groups, customer interviews, trade shows and professional meetings.
•Develop and maintain 3rd party vendor relationships relative to your product requirements. Includes the need to design and execute 3rd party product assessments for the purpose of Make/Buy decisions.
•Serve as the product champion, ensuring product performance meets expectations and explore ways for continuous improvement and market adoption
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
•Prior hospital PACS/IT administration experience
Prior product management experience in the medical imaging industry (highly desirable); Or strong desire/propensity to learn the skills to become a PM
•2-3 years’ experience in product management, marketing, R&D or a related function
•Working knowledge of DICOM, DICOM SR, IHE, HL7, WiFi, EMR/EHR and Cyber-security
•Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in the Information Technology or Biological Sciences. PhD and/or MBA highly desirable
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Deep working knowledge of medical IT technologies and infrastructure
•Deep understanding of clinical workflows (Cardiology and Radiology). International understanding and experience is a key plus
•Understand and managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
•Must be able to accomplish results in a cross-functional team environment, exhibiting formal and informal leadership skills and be driven and exhibit strong goal / results orientated
•Proven track record of results either contributing to or directly developing, driving and maintaining high performing product lines, cutting edge strategies and strong market presence
