VP Health Plans:  Individual contributor role.  Will carry a quota, needs to qualify and close.  Need a hunter, experience selling into Regional Health Plans. Must have Contacts in Health Plans. West Coast location preferred.  New role.

Compensation:  $135k to 150k base, $225k at plan.  Commission payout best for longer term deals (e.g., 3-year plan) Case volume dependent. Travel by air/car covered; phone, etc.

THE POSITION: Vice President, Business Development The ideal candidate for this position will be a strategic thinker who has a successful track record of business development inclusive of identifying, defining, qualifying, and pursuing complex solution sales opportunities with both regional and national health plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES ? Proven history of consultative selling to C-suite executives at both regional and national health plans ? Demonstrated healthcare strategic sales acumen ? Willingness to leverage existing health plan relationships to generate new business opportunities; demonstrated ability to maintain long term relationships with C-Suite executives ? Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and define a strategic value proposition to set objectives for sales opportunities ? Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, the specific needs of the health plan vertical to ensure success; identify and influence a change in direction as needed ? Experience developing health plan specific messaging for completion of RFPs/Proposals/ B2B collateral/Sales presentations ? Experience negotiating complex contracts with health plan leadership ? Willingness to stay heavily involved with customers post sale to ensure overall program goals are met, working in alignment with Account Management ? Ability to communicate strategic vision to ensure that internal constituents understand each customer’s strategic direction ? Knowledge of the specific business challenges facing health plans and how they impact decision making, particularly the Affordable Care Act, Triple Aim and value based reimbursement arrangements ? Knowledge about all lines of health plan business, including ASO, Fully Insured, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Retail/Exchange etc ? Familiarity with health plan market trends and ability to communicate to broader organization ? Ability to develop an effective sales strategy to maintain company’s leadership position in highly competitive environment

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS ? Minimum of 10 years of experience in consultative strategic solution selling to regional/national health plans, including business development management, proposal/RFP process, strategic formulation, market assessment, creative problem solving, ability to credibly influence decision makers to take action and maintaining relationships with C-Suite executives
